I. Rules and Regulations
1.Below are the categories for the competition
a. Exploring Qatar- This category is for presenting the way participant explores the Qatar to define its true beauty/ cultural heritage and so one. This involves any picture that depicts Qatar's architecture marvels, cityscape, celebrations and festivals, life of people in Qatar, Sports and different events in Qatar.
b. Back to Nature- This category is for presenting the view of nature from participant's way of seeing it. This is not limited to Qatar, participants are allowed to submit photos taken anywhere in the world.
2. Entrance Fees:
Open Group - 25 Qatar Riyals for 5 images. In case someone wants to submit more than 5 images, participant needs to pay accordingly as 50 Qatar Riyals for 10 pics
Students Group - No Entry Fees
3. The contest is open for all Qatar residents only
4. Basic submission guidelines for the competition:
a. Basic photo editing is allowed such as cropping, basic adjustments of colours. Violators will not be considered for competition.
b. Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel i.e., through the below email id: photographycompetitionicc@gmail.com.
Entries not submitted through the proper channel will not be considered after payment. Successful payment reference to be provided during the submission.
c. Entries to follow below specifications-
i. Photo size should not exceed 5MB.
ii. Submitted photo should be in .jpeg format.
iii. Photo should not contain any logo, signature or border.
d. Participant to follow below subject line format while submitting the entries:
ICC||{PhotographerName}||{Student Group or Open Group}||{Subject}|For example if Mr. Faisal wants to submit in Open Group for Exploring Qatar, the subject line should be- ICC||Faisal||Open Group|| Exploring Qatar
e. If a person wants to submit in different subject, separate emails to be sent with same reference number if it within allowed submission quote as per payment.
f. All submitted entries to have below details:
i. Title of the Photo: ( Limited to 30 characters )
ii. Name of the Photographer
iii. Phone Number
iv. Email address
g. If a participant wishes to send multiple entries for same subject, he or she can attach all pictures in the same email provided.
h. A participant can submit as many entries as he or she wishes provided the payment has been made accordingly.
i. All submitted entries should have been taken within last 5 years.
j. Photographer should be ready to submit RAW images or unedited jpeg images if requested by the ICC Photography Club.
k. All photographs submitting for the contest shall be taken by the photographer who is submitting.
6. All decisions by judges will be final. ICC Photography Club reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
7. By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the ICC and it's any sub- groups for advertising purposes or any other causes with appropriate credit to the image owner without obtaining any further permission from the participant.
8. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
9. The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry.
10. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
11. ICC Photography club is not responsible for any contest of the photos submitted and which is sole responsibility of the photographer if any dispute arises in all aspects.
12.Last date of Submission :30-November-2023.
13. Prizes:
Top 3 entries of each categories and each age group will be awarded by ICC photography club. Photographer of the year will be awarded with 5,000 Qatar Riyals.
