The Embassy of India, Qatar, in association with the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), Indian Sports Centre (ISC), and Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC), organised an Indian Community Condolence Meeting in honour of His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, 15th July 2026, at ICC Ashoka Hall. H.E. Mr. Vipul, Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, and Dr. Vaibhav Tandale, First Secretary, Embassy of India, attended the meeting and conveyed their heartfelt condolences. Addressing the gathering, H.E. Mr. Vipul highlighted the profound contribution of His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani in transforming Qatar into a modern, progressive, and globally respected nation. He recalled the Father Emir's visionary leadership, commitment to development, and the strong foundation he laid for the country's continued growth and international stature.

Condolence messages were delivered by ICC President Mr. A.P. Manikantan, ICBF President Mr. Shanavas Bava, ISC President Mr. E. P. Abdulrahman, and IBPC President Mr. Thaha Muhammad. They paid tribute to the remarkable leadership, vision, and enduring legacy of His Highness the Father Emir, whose invaluable contributions played a pivotal role in Qatar's extraordinary progress and prosperity.

ICC General Secretary Mr. Abraham K. Joseph welcomed the gathering, while ICBF General Secretary Mr. Deepak Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. Managing Committee members and Advisory Committee members of ICC, ICBF, ISC, and IBPC, along with a large number of delegates from the Indian diaspora, attended the meeting.
